Part 1 | Cornerstone Improves Slab Accuracy through Deflection Analysis Method Comparison Using RAM Concept and SAFE
Available On-demand
Hear Ryan Voros, principal at Cornerstone, discuss several common deflection analysis methods used by engineering firms to design flat plate residential slabs in North America. Cornerstone will compare real deflection survey results from a residential high-rise in the western United States to five deflection estimation methods. He will share how his team used RAM Concept, part of the Structural WorkSuite portfolio, and SAFE by CSi to evaluate the accuracy of the deflection estimates.
You will learn how:
- RAM Concept was used to conduct an elastic analysis, a strip-based analysis with cracking, and a load time-history non-linear curvature-based analysis to optimize the design.
- SAFE by CSi was used alongside RAM Concept to conduct a non-linear creep superposition analysis, as well as a non-linear curvature-based analysis.
- The results of these various analyses were then compared to the survey results to improve slab accuracy.

Part 2 | Structural WorkSuite: An Exploration of STAAD.Pro Improvements
Available On-demand
Structural analysis projects often require multiple specialty designs to work together, resulting in inefficient and error-prone workflows. Structural WorkSuite provides a complete solution that includes applications for structural design and analysis in one cost-effective bundle with programs that have been designed to seamlessly work together.
Bentley's keystone structural analysis product, STAAD.Pro, has been updated with new features to help you efficiently model, perform analyses, and design any structure, from simple to complex, in less time. Recent updates allow for even smoother, faster workflows for your projects. Join our product experts Karim Rashad, Shyla Lintz, and Qian Fang for this webinar exploring the newest improvements to STAAD.Pro.
You will learn how to:
- Efficiently model, analyze, design, and produce deliverables for structural projects for any type of structure, in accordance with project and design code standards.
- Save time, optimize designs, and finish projects sooner, even on the most complex projects.
- Easily share data with other applications and disciplines to reduce rework and the likelihood of errors.
- Streamline workflows, improve collaboration, and encourage better communication between teams.
Part 3 | Applying the Latest AISC Steel Design Codes in RAM and STAAD
Available On-demand
The Specification for Structural Steel Buildings (AISC 360) and Seismic Provisions for Structural Steel Buildings (AISC 341) design codes were updated in 2022. Bentley is committed to maintaining these codes and providing the latest code updates in RAM and STAAD as part of their regular maintenance.
Join Seth Guthrie, P.E., S.E., for this webinar to see the implementation of these latest codes in Structural WorkSuite and understand where those changes are most important.
You will learn how to:
- Apply the latest codes using a complete suite of applications to better facilitate structural design workflows.
- Adhere to the latest updates and guidance, including notable changes to limiting slenderness provisions, designs for stability, interaction checks, bolt group capacity, and transversely loaded welds.
- Gain confidence in your designs using a range of purpose-built applications included in Structural WorkSuite.
- Leverage the versatility of RAM Structural System and STAAD.Pro to perform detailed connection design with RAM Connection.
