Hilly terrain has always presented a challenge when modeling any hydraulic system, as the ground changes extensively from one point to the other. The hydraulic grade of water changes with the terrain, creating varying pipe pressures. OpenFlows Water can import accurate digital elevation models to represent the topography, helping you to visualize and plan the network layout. The software can simulate different pipe sizes with materials, break-pressure tanks, and combinations of pressure reducing valves (PRVs) and pumps to help determine optimal choices that account for potential pressure losses due to elevation changes.
Join this session to:
- Learn the advantages of a Virtuosity subscription and product pricing.
- Understand various elements available in OpenFlows Water, which help model water supply systems for hilly terrain.
- Check how to model break-pressure tanks or use PRVs in a water supply system.
